Moz Pricing 2026: Moz Pro Pricing Plans, Cost Per Month and Keyword Query Limits
Moz Pro costs $99 a month for Standard, $179 for Medium and $299 for Large, or $79, $143 and $239 if you pay for a year up front. Those are the only self serve plans moz.com listed when we checked in August 2026. The number that decides whether Moz Pro fits your work is not on the pricing cards at all: Standard includes 150 keyword queries per month. At $99 that works out to about $0.66 every time you look a keyword up, and it is the cap most people meet long before they run out of tracked keywords.

▸ The 2026 lineup
Moz Pro pricing plans: Standard, Medium, Large and Enterprise
Three self serve tiers and a quoted Enterprise option. Moz advertises the monthly rate by default and shows the annual rate underneath it, which is the honest way round and rarer than it should be. The 20% annual discount reconciles exactly on all three tiers, so these figures can be relied on rather than estimated.
| Plan | Month to month | Billed yearly | Cost per year (annual) | Seats | Keyword queries / mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $99 / mo | $79 / mo | $948 | 1 | 150 |
| Medium | $179 / mo | $143 / mo | $1,716 | 2 | 5,000 |
| Large | $299 / mo | $239 / mo | $2,868 | 3 | 15,000 |
| Enterprise | Quoted | Quoted | Quoted | Custom | Custom |
Moz labels Medium the most popular plan. Read the keyword query column and you can see why it has to be: the jump from Standard to Medium multiplies your monthly research allowance by 33 for an extra $80 a month. That is the real staircase in Moz Pro pricing, and it is far steeper than the price difference implies.
▸ A discrepancy worth knowing about
Is there a $49 Moz plan? Yes, and it is not on the pricing cards
An earlier version of this page reported that we could not verify the $49 Moz plan that third party roundups keep citing. That was wrong, and it is corrected here. The plan exists. It is simply not one of the three pricing cards, which is why it is easy to miss and why so many comparisons either omit it or guess at its limits. Scroll past Standard, Medium and Large on moz.com and there is a short block headed "Need a starter solution?" which reads, verbatim: "Our entry-level plan is available for $49/month. This option is designed specifically for individuals managing a single website." Confirmed on 31 August 2026. How that $49 tier compares against the other genuine sub-$50 options is on our SEO tools for small business comparison.
What Moz publishes as cards
Standard at $99, Medium at $179 and Large at $299 month to month, with yearly rates of $79, $143 and $239. The annual discount is 20% and it reconciles cleanly on all three tiers, so those yearly figures are safe to budget against. The full comparison table lower down has three columns, not four.
What the $49 plan actually is
An entry-level plan sold outside the card layout, scoped by Moz to individuals managing a single website. Moz does not publish its keyword query, tracked keyword or crawl allowances anywhere on the pricing page, so treat any roundup quoting specific $49 limits as guessing. The $39 yearly figure that circulates alongside it has no primary source we can find.
Why it matters to you
The cheapest genuine way into Moz is $49, not $99, provided you have exactly one site. That makes Moz one of only three major platforms with a real sub-$50 tier, alongside Ubersuggest Individual and Ahrefs Starter, and like both of those it is capped at a single website. The one-site cap is the upgrade trigger across the whole category.
▸ Limits per tier
What each Moz Pro plan includes
Moz publishes an unusually detailed comparison table, which makes it one of the easier vendors to budget for. Everything below came off that table. Pay attention to the keyword query row: it is the only limit here that changes by a factor of 33 between the bottom two tiers.
| Limit | Standard $99 | Medium $179 | Large $299 |
|---|---|---|---|
| User seats | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| Campaigns (tracked sites) | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| Keyword rankings tracked | 300 | 1,500 | 3,000 |
| Keyword queries per month | 150 | 5,000 | 15,000 |
| Keywords per site query | 10,000 | 30,000 | 50,000 |
| Keyword lists | 5 | 30 | 60 |
| Keywords per list | 100 | 500 | 750 |
| Domain overview queries | 50 | 100 | 180 |
| Pages crawled per week | 100,000 | 500,000 | 1,250,000 |
| On demand crawls | 5 | 30 | 60 |
| AI Visibility Dashboards | 1 | 2 | 4 |
| Prompts tracked | 50 | 100 | 200 |
| Tracked AI models | GPT, Gemini | GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode | GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode |
| AI content briefs per month | 2 | 10 | 50 |
Two add on costs sit outside the table and are easy to miss when you budget. Extra AI Visibility Dashboards are $20 each per month, and extra tracked prompts are $50 per 100 prompts per month. If AI search visibility is the reason you are buying Moz Pro, price the add ons before you pick a tier, because 50 prompts on Standard goes quickly once you are tracking a real prompt set.
▸ The number that decides it
Moz Pro Standard costs $99 a month for 150 keyword queries
This is the part of Moz Pro pricing worth slowing down on. A keyword query is one lookup in Keyword Explorer. Standard gives you 150 of them in a month. Divide $99 by 150 and each time you type a keyword into the tool costs about 66 cents, whether the answer is useful or not. Nothing on the pricing cards tells you this, and it is the limit that turns a $99 plan into a $179 plan.
150 is a working week, not a month
A single content brief usually takes ten to twenty lookups once you chase variants, check the competition and sanity check volumes. Three or four briefs and Standard is spent. Agencies and anyone researching more than one site will run dry in days rather than weeks.
The per query cost inverts
Standard is $0.66 per keyword query. Medium is $179 for 5,000, which is $0.036. Large is $299 for 15,000, or $0.02. The cheapest plan is eighteen times more expensive per lookup than the middle one, so Standard is only rational if you genuinely research a handful of keywords a month.
Depth per query is generous
To be fair to Moz, each query returns a lot: up to 10,000 keywords per site query even on Standard. The constraint is how many separate questions you get to ask, not how much comes back. If your work is a few deep dives, Standard fits. If it is broad exploration, it does not.
▸ Against the rest
Moz Pro cost compared with the other SEO platforms
Entry prices only, month to month, as verified in August 2026. Entry price is a poor way to choose a tool, but it is the comparison everyone starts with, so here it is with the caveats attached.
| Tool | Entry price | What you are paying for |
|---|---|---|
| Moz Pro | $99 Standard | Domain Authority, the metric half the industry quotes in client reports, plus a genuinely deep AI search visibility layer on every tier. Held back by 150 keyword queries a month at the entry price. |
| Semrush | $139.95 Pro | Breadth. Around fifty tools across SEO, PPC, content and social, with the best advertising research in the category. One seat, 5 projects, 500 keywords tracked daily. |
| Ahrefs | $29 Starter, $129 Lite | The strongest backlink index available. Starter is real but caps reports at 250 rows and blocks exports entirely, so it is a lookup tool rather than a working plan. |
| SE Ranking | $129 Core | A true all in one at the price of a mid tier: rank tracking, site audit, unlimited keyword and backlink research and 10 projects on the entry plan. |
| Ubersuggest | $29 Individual, or $290 once | The cheapest keyword and site data in the category, and the only lifetime licence left standing. Data depth falls behind on competitive terms. |
| Keywordpilot | From $39 founding | The synthesis rather than the platform: one seed keyword expands into scored topic clusters and a publish ordered content plan. No rank tracker, no site crawl, no backlink index, no Domain Authority. |
Be clear about what that table does not say. Moz Pro gives you far more surface area than we do, and if you report Domain Authority to clients or need site crawling and rank tracking in one place, buy a platform. Full breakdowns of the others live on Ahrefs pricing, Semrush pricing, SE Ranking pricing, Ubersuggest pricing and Surfer SEO pricing. If you have decided Moz is not the fit rather than the price, the Moz alternative comparison covers replacement rather than cost, and Moz Pro vs Semrush works through the choice most buyers at this price point are actually making.
▸ Which plan fits
Which Moz Pro plan should you buy?
Standard $99
One site, one person, occasional research. Three campaigns and 300 tracked keywords cover a single business well. The 150 query cap is the thing to test against your habits during the trial, because it is what will push you up a tier.
Medium $179
The default for anyone doing this as a job. 5,000 keyword queries, 10 campaigns, 1,500 tracked keywords and Google AI Mode tracking. The $80 step up from Standard buys 33 times the research allowance, which is why Moz flags it as most popular.
Large $299
Small agencies and in house teams running many sites. 25 campaigns, 3 seats, 3,000 tracked keywords and 50 AI content briefs a month. Worth it once you are managing more than ten clients or properties.
Enterprise
Quoted only. Worth a conversation if you need more than 3 seats, since Moz does not sell additional seats as a simple add on the way Semrush and Ahrefs do. Seat count is a genuine reason to move up here.
▸ People also ask
Moz Pro pricing questions
How much does Moz Pro cost?
Moz Pro costs $99 a month for Standard, $179 for Medium and $299 for Large on rolling monthly billing. Paying yearly drops those to $79, $143 and $239 a month, a 20% discount. Enterprise is quoted rather than listed. Below the three cards moz.com also states an entry level plan at $49 a month for individuals managing a single website, confirmed on 31 August 2026, though Moz publishes no allowances for it.
How much is Moz Pro per month?
Standard is $99 a month billed month to month, or $79 per month if you commit to a year. Medium is $179 or $143. Large is $299 or $239. The lower figure in each pair is the annual rate, so comparing Moz Pro's advertised price against a competitor's rolling monthly price will understate what you pay.
What is the cheapest Moz Pro plan?
Standard, at $99 a month or $79 billed yearly. It includes one user seat, three tracked campaigns, 300 tracked keywords a month, one AI Visibility Dashboard and 150 keyword queries per month. That keyword query cap is the limit most people hit first, and it is the one least often mentioned in reviews.
What happened to the Moz Pro Starter plan?
Moz.com's pricing cards and its full plan comparison table list only Standard, Medium and Large, with Enterprise quoted separately. The $49 entry plan is real but it is not one of the cards: it sits in a short block further down the same page, headed "Need a starter solution?", and Moz describes it as designed specifically for individuals managing a single website. Confirmed on moz.com on 31 August 2026.
Is Moz Pro free?
No. Moz Pro is a paid subscription starting at $99 a month. Moz does run a free trial and offers a set of free SEO tools, including a limited Keyword Explorer and MozBar, without a subscription. Reported trial length is inconsistent across sources, so confirm the current terms on moz.com before you plan around it.
How many keywords can you research with Moz Pro?
Standard allows 150 keyword queries a month, Medium 5,000 and Large 15,000. A query is a lookup, not a keyword returned, and each one can return up to 10,000 keywords on Standard. So the ceiling is on how many times you ask, not how much comes back per question.
Is Moz Pro cheaper than Semrush?
At the entry point, yes, but only just. Standard is $99 a month against $139.95 for Semrush Pro. Semrush Pro tracks 500 keywords daily to Moz's 300 monthly and covers five projects to Moz's three. Moz is roughly 29% cheaper for a noticeably smaller allowance, so it is not the bargain the headline gap suggests.
What does Moz Pro include for AI search?
Every tier includes AI Visibility Dashboards, tracked prompts, AI citations data and AI content briefs. Standard gets one dashboard, 50 prompts and two content briefs a month, Medium 100 prompts and Large 200. As of 2 September 2026 all three tiers track the same four AI models: GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity.
