Refund Policy
We do not give money back on KeywordPilot subscriptions. Every charge is final, apart from three narrow situations explained further down this page. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
The reason is simple. You can run the free demo with no account and see exactly what a keyword plan looks like, with intent tags, topic clusters, volume and difficulty bands and article briefs, before you spend anything. The pricing page lists every allowance and limit per plan. Nothing you get after paying should come as a surprise.
What you are paying for
A KeywordPilot plan buys access to the software for a month or a year, with a monthly allowance of keyword plans and caps on projects, workspaces and seats. It is not a bundle of credits and it is not charged per run. The whole period opens to you the moment it starts, so a quiet month with no new keyword plans costs the same as a busy one.
When you check out, you ask us to start the service right away. If a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period would otherwise cover your purchase, you accept that it ends once the service has begun at your request.
Stopping a renewal
Every plan renews on its own until you switch it off on the plan page in your account. That takes one click and needs no email to us. Once switched off, no further period is billed, and you keep full access until the paid period runs out. Nothing is pro-rated for the days left over.
A new period is owed from its first day, because access for it starts on that day. If your card is declined, the same invoice is retried over the following days; a retry is not a second charge. Switching off renewals during those retries stops future periods but leaves the open invoice due, and that charge is not refunded. If you want to avoid a renewal, switch it off before the date shown on your plan page.
Reasons that never lead to a refund
- You finished your research, lost the client or simply no longer need the tool.
- You created few or no keyword plans during the period, or left part of the allowance unused.
- The volume and difficulty bands did not match another tool, or a cluster grouped keywords differently than you would have. They are labelled estimates, and the demo shows how they look.
- A page you wrote from a brief did not rank, or traffic did not grow as hoped.
- You expected a feature that the pricing page does not list, or expected one to behave differently.
- Your Search Console property was not connected, not verified, or had too little data to read positions from.
- You picked the wrong plan, the wrong billing cycle or too many seats.
- You thought the purchase was a one-time payment. Each plan is a subscription, as stated on the pricing page, in checkout, in the receipt email and on the plan page.
- You forgot to switch off a renewal, or switched it off just after one was charged, including a renewal collected on a retry.
- Someone you shared your sign-in mailbox or seat with used the account.
The three cases we do refund
Money goes back only when one of the cases below applies and our records confirm it. The amount is limited to the charge concerned.
- You were charged twice. A billing error on our side took payment two times for the same period.
- The charge was not yours, and that is shown. Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the account and payment records support it. A statement alone does not settle it. We may ask you to confirm that you reported the misuse to the bank that issued the card.
- KeywordPilot did not work at all. A confirmed fault on our side made the service fully unusable for a continuous stretch, you reported it while it was happening, and we could not resolve it. Slower runs, a run that fell back to our reference output, and trouble with your own browser, device or network are not a total failure.
A refund we grant goes only to the card that paid, never exceeds what you paid for the affected period, and is the full extent of our liability for it. It does not open a right to any later refund.
How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address your account uses, within 14 days of the charge. Say which of the three cases applies and give the date and amount. Messages sent after 14 days, from another address or through another channel are not considered. We work through requests in the order they arrive, without a promised reply time, and a declined request is not reopened.
Records behind every decision
For each subscription we keep the plan and price shown at checkout, the time you accepted our terms, the emails we sent you and a log of account activity: sign-ins, projects created, keyword plans run, exports and seat changes, with the technical details that come with them. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including the card's issuing country, the origin of the payment and the outcome of bank verification such as 3D Secure.
Chargebacks
Disputing a charge with your bank without writing to us first is a breach of our terms. We send the records above to the card issuer, and the account is closed for good.
Subscriptions bought earlier
A plan purchased before October 14, 2026 keeps the refund terms that were published on the day it was bought.
